The monthly meeting of the Ark-Homa Chapter of the Arkansas Archeological Society and the Oklahoma Anthropological Society will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 in Room 202 of the Math-Science Building on the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 鈥 Fort Smith campus.
The lecture, titled 鈥淏eyond the 鈥楤luff Dweller:鈥 Archeology Of Prehistoric Bluff Shelters Of The Arkansas Ozarks,鈥 will be presented by Dr. Jamie Brandon and Lydia Rees. The presentation will overview more recent archeological work and offers possible future directions for research that can further refine our understanding of Ozark bluff shelters.
Rees is a research assistant with the Arkansas Archeological Survey鈥檚 Sponsored Research Program and is currently working on a grant-funded Ozark bluff shelter project. She has been in the field for 14 years.
Brandon is an associate research professor at the 香港六合彩开奖结果现场直播 at Fayetteville and the Arkansas Archeological Survey鈥檚 UAF research station archeologist. In this dual position, he teaches anthropology courses and is responsible for public outreach and research. He has over 25 years of archeological experience and has been working in the Ozarks since 1997.
