Business Administration

Earning your BBA prepares you for a variety of careers in the fields of banking, finance, international management, human resource management, technology management, entrepreneurship, and business analysis.

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥'s unique Bachelor of Business Administration program allows students the flexibility to select concentrations tailored to their individual career goals. Working with their academic advisor students select two concentrations from a list of curriculum options designed to meet the demands of today's global business environment.

Only those courses that meet the requirements of the two concentrations and/or elective hours required of the BBA are eligible for financial aid and veteran’s educational benefits. Students who want to declare more than two concentrations should check with the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ Financial Aid Office to determine eligibility for financial assistance for the additional courses.

BBA - Business Administration

The BBA - Business Administration online completion option is a degree-completion program offered online and designed for individuals who have completed an associate degree from an accredited college or university.

Minor


The Business Administration minor is intended for non-majors interested in a basic understanding of the role of business in society and the methods used by business. This curriculum also provides a basis for advanced study.



This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental coursework in intermediate, cost, and tax accounting. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental coursework in integrated marketing communications, consumer behavior, and marketing research. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with foundational coursework in financial statement, analysis, capital budgeting, and advanced financial management. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental knowledge in E-business, social media, and digital marketing. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental knowledge in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and managerial economics. It is designed to provide analytical and critical reasoning skills necessary to interpret the decision-making process of consumers, business and governments in a market economy. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental knowledge in small business management, new venture creation, and launching a small business online. Designed to develop working knowledge of the key challenges and operating issues facing new startups and small enterprises. Open to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ students. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with fundamental knowledge in staffing and legal issues in human resources as well as strategic compensation. It is designed to demonstrate knowledge in relevant federal, state, and local employee laws and regulations as well as best practices in attracting, motivating and retaining employees. Open to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ students. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with foundational coursework in cross cultural relations, international management, and international marketing. Designed to demonstrate mastery in building and managing diverse teams to maximize opportunities and overcome challenges specific to the global environment. Open to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ students. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with foundational coursework in international economics, money, banking, and financial markets and international finance. Designed for students planning to work in international financial markets it provides opportunity to develop knowledge of global policies and practice in developing risk management strategies. Available to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ students. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with foundational coursework in investments, principles of portfolio management, and derivative securities and markets. Designed to provide skills necessary to analyze securities, construct portfolios, and generate security trading and order strategies. Available to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ students. All hours earned with this credential transfer into the BBA program. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


Designed to provide a curriculum in which students can actively learn, practice, develop, expand, and improve leadership skills and competencies. Available to all Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ students. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 18-hour program is designed for students intending to sit for the CPA exam in the state of Arkansas. It does not guarantee that students possess the required number of non-accounting hours and a bachelor degree. Courses must be completed with a GPA of at least 3.0.


This 9-hour program provides you with foundational coursework in global supply chain management, logistics management, and purchasing and supply management.

Communication
  • Goal: Students will effectively communicate with the intended audience.
  • Objectives:
    • Students will construct well-organized, grammatically correct, and concise documents.
    • Students will deliver a well-organized and clear presentation to the target audience.
Integrate and Apply Functional Business Knowledge
  • Goal: Students will demonstrate proficiency in the application of functional business knowledge and in solving real-world or simulated problems.
  • Objectives:
    • Students will demonstrate proficiency in FBK in a task-oriented situation.
    • Students will apply FBK in the broader context of solving business problems. 
Critical Thinking
  • Goal: Students will use critical thinking skills to identify problems/issues and develop solutions/analysis.
  • Objectives:
    • Students will identify a problem or issue.
    • Students will generate solutions/analysis of problems/issues evaluated.
    • Students will assess and justify the solutions and/or analysis.
Quantitative Reasoning
  • Goal: Students will analyze data, create models, draw inferences, and support conclusions based on sound quantitative reasoning.
  • Objectives:
    • Students will apply appropriate models to solve problems.
    • Students will represent information visually, numerically, and/or verbally.
    • Students will interpret models and data with appropriate technology to draw inferences.
