Start your career in the fast-paced world of healthcare with an associate degree in radiography.

The Associate of Applied Science degree in radiography prepares students to function in the health care community as a professional and competent entry-level radiographer. Students learn basic and advanced skills in radiographic procedures, clinical education, and medical terminology. Courses assist in developing diagnostic radiographic examinations using technical knowledge and clinical skills while demonstrating quality patient care indicative of high ethical standards and professional growth and development. Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the national certification examination in radiologic technology administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Admission into the radiography program is highly selective. Accepted students receive their professional education through class work and clinical practice. While the class work portion of the professional education is conducted on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ campus, clinical education takes place in area hospitals & clinics.

Bachelor of Science in Imaging Sciences - Diagnostic Medical Sonography
This program is designed as a completion program for registered radiographers and prepares highly competent imaging practitioners for professional careers in a dynamic health care environment. Graduates are prepared to sit for the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers examination through a variety of classroom instruction and hands-on practice.


Once a radiography student has passed the national certification examination, practice may occur in:

  • acute care hospitals
  • physicians' offices
  • outpatient surgery centers
  • medical clinics
  • mobile radiography services
  • industrial radiography
  • sales and service
  • traveling technology businesses
  • specialization in CT, MRI, diagnostic medical sonography, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, mammography, special procedures, or any number of other areas such as cardiac cath lab are other employment options.

According to the  the annual median wage for radiologic and MRI technologists in 2023 was $76,020.

The radiography program at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûÏÖ³¡Ö±²¥ College of Health, Education, and Human Sciences was established to serve the needs of the population and health care industry in the community and surrounding area. The program is committed to providing a high-quality education through didactic courses and clinical experiences in medical radiography in order to produce competent and registry-eligible radiographers. 

Annual program effectiveness data is a condition of continued accreditation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The data required includes the five-year average credentialing examination pass rate, five-year average job placement rate, and annual program complete rate. Click here to view program effectiveness data.

    • anticipating and providing appropriate patient care, safety, and comfort
